Location: Downtown Denver, Colorado
Type: Contract to hire
Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm, 5 days onsite
Pay Rate: $40-$45/hour (depending on experience)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Help Desk & Systems Administrator will operate as a member of the IT team supporting IT efforts and projects. You will work closely with the IT Director and perform administration, security, implementation, and upgrades of IT systems. A large focus of this role will be to perform builds, migrations, performance improvement & troubleshooting on Windows Servers. You should have the skills to work independently with minimal supervision. You should also have excellent troubleshooting skills on diverse technologies and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues related to Microsoft technologies.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls using Active Directory and Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Oversee patch management, system updates, and endpoint security compliance using Microsoft Intune.
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes including provisioning and deprovisioning of Microsoft 365 licenses and devices.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to support business initiatives and technology projects.
- Ensure adherence to IT policies, security standards, and best practices within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience in a help desk or IT support leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure services.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Experience with endpoint management and compliance using Microsoft Intune.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Zendesk.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or CompTIA Security+.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
